Welcome Storm Chasers to the website of The Radio Storm! You’ve found an internet radio station that specializes in being different from what’s presented on traditional AM and FM stations. Listening to The Storm is a bit like stepping back into time. We not only play your requests and dedications, We also have live DJs who, from time to time, actually play records, CDs and cassettes!

Our studio is located in Louisville, Kentucky USA. Our station was started by three Alumni of the Kentucky School for the Blind, Angie Mike and Matt. All three were DJs and station managers of either WEAR AM or WKSB FM. Their interest in radio has continued through the years and this is the result of their collaboration. We are proud to feature other blind and visually impaired DJs from the US.

You’ll often hear us talking about free Form internet radio. We believe this to be a way of broadcasting that puts the DJ in control. The Radio Storm is not programmed by professional station managers, who use complicated software that says what to play and when to play it. We don’t worry if a song is currently on the charts. We’ll certainly play the latest hits, but we’re not afraid to play something that hasn’t been heard for some time. Our DJs care about you the listener. We have various ways for you to contact us and we will respond. free form internet radio also means that we aren’t locked into a certain type of music. We can transition from country to rock in a matter of a few songs. This format creates a station with the best variety of music on the internet. There are many ways to listen to our live stream that’s online twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Two of the easiest is to either click the play button below, or say “listen to The Radio Storm from Tune In” to your Amazon Echo or Google Home device and they will immediately start the stream. If you have a specific media player that you like to use, you can listen with the links provided on this site. In addition, we offer links to other streaming platforms and older media players.

We’ve worked hard to create an internet radio station that everyone can enjoy. We hope you’ll take some time to listen to our stream and send us feedback on what you hear. We are always looking for ways to improve what we’re doing, so please let us know if you have any suggestions. The Radio Storm is on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When a live DJ is not available, our automation software continues to provide the variety you’ve come to expect from The Storm.
